| 06-01-2002 | Server is back online | One of the filesystems on the server went corrupt, which
caused the server to react extremely slow, causing timeouts
instead of displaying webpages. Fixed... It all took a little longer then suspected, but this was not due technical reasons. While diagnosing the problem last night, Cocoman called me to check if I wanted to go to a concert. Yeah, I did... But it was about 19:30, and we had to be in Rotterdam at 21:00, so basicly, I left the server offline and went having some fun... Sorry guys, first things first :-) Anywayz, fixed it this morning, and finally hooked up this second DDS1-tapestreamer, something that I should have done a lot earlier, like before the system crashed :-) .. but I guess I was lucky, nothing was lost of which I didn't have a backup :-) Leaves one question: How can one backup 128GB with just 2 old 2GB streamers? (anybody got some spare tape-streamers?) |
